'Hong-dae' or 'Hong-dae-ip-gu' refer to the area around Hongik University Station, a transfer station on Subway Line 2 and Gyeongui Jungang Line, located in Hongik-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It is one of the popular places for many people as it has various cultural and artistic spaces, restaurants, and cafes. Especially on weekends, there are many young people who are floating, so you can feel the lively atmosphere.

 

※ 'Hongdae' is a Korean abbreviation for Hongik University. 'Ip-gu' means entrance.
