Cheonggyecheon Stream is a river that starts from thedongailbo building in Gwanghwamun, Jongno-gu, Seoul and ends at Jangyodong, Jung-gu with a total length of 10.84 km. In the Joseon Dynasty, it was mainly used as agricultural water, but it became polluted as urbanization progressed, and it has since been restored to its current form through a restoration project in 2003. It has a walking path, bike path, square, fountain, etc., and serves as a resting place for citizens. Festivals are held every spring and autumn, and nighttime lighting makes for a more beautiful scenery.
